The African elephant is an endangered species that are being hunted down and killed for their ivory tusks. Poachers are hunting them down and soon in the world they will be gone if we don't put a stop to this. There are only 415,000 elephants in the world. People need to take action to prevent this species from becoming extinct.
Elephants have less room than ever because of the population in Africa is spending, and that means less room for the elephants to roam. There are up to be found that 100,000 pieces of ivory each year confiscated from poachers. Elephants land is slowly being trued into housing and their food is slowly being cut down. An effect to that is the elephants are roaming into the villages and eating the villagers' crops and the villagers think they are bad and kill them on the spot. People need to be informed that the elephants are just being elephants and that you should protect your crops be you don't need to kill them. Here are some ways that people can help. People can build fences around your crops that are really tall. That way, the elephants can't get to them so they can't eat them. But people could also leave some extra food out for the elephants because people are living on what used to be there's. People can also stay in doors when elephants come around. Then people don't get stomped on by the elephants and the elephants don't get killed. If people build a fence around the crops, elephants and other animals cannot get to crops. But keep in mind that the elephants need food so people can help with that too. Also, the other animals that people are keeping out of the crops some of them could end out helping you with your crops in the long run. You can end out helping the elephants too .Here is how you can help them. You can leave food out for them outside of your crop fences. Elephants are an endangered species because poachers are hunting them down for their ivory tusks. This was my way of telling you to protect the elephants. If you want to protect the elephants like I do, then you should take my advice. I give a big thanks to worldwildlife.org/species/african-forest-elephant for the information.

The Javan Rhino can be found in northeast India and Southeast Asia and it is an endangered species. The reason the Javan Rhinos are endangered is that people kill them for their horns. Steps need to be taken to ensure that the Javan Rhino survives.
Javan Rhinos are in danger. People are killing them for their horns for making jewelry. They are poaching it. There are only about 60 Javan rhinos left.Vietnam’s last Javan rhino was killed in 2010. The Javan rhino is very similar in appearance to the closely related greater one-horned rhinoceros. Today, a small population of Javan rhinos is found in only one national park on the northern tip of the Indonesian island of Java. We need to protect the rest of the Javan rhinos that still are a live. Researchers know of two ways to save the Javan rhino. we need to remove the invasive arenga palm plant that is overly shading parts of Ujung Kulon. The other thing that can be is move some to a sanctuary. If people do these things the Javan rhino might have a chance. Based on the facts, it is clear that the Javan rhinos are close to extinction. The World Wildlife Fund is helping to keep the Javan rhino's alive. You can help the Javan rhino by donating to the World Wildlife Fund. |
